You will notice that some of the songs used today are ones we are not familiar with at our live worship on Sunday mornings. We might introduce some of them later, when we get back to face-to-face worship together. But we want to use this current freedom to bless and encourage you. A word or two about the songs we don’t know then:
“O Come to the Altar” is a beautiful worship song that draws us near to Jesus. “When we pray” is not a “church” song at all, but is a great reminder of what happens when we come together, not just as individuals from the one congregation, but christians from anywhere and pray. Finally, “O God forgive us” is a reminder that repentance and faith are life giving, and that we are in need of forgiveness, each one of us.
Love you all
Richard

Elevation Worship – O Come to the Altar
While we are unable to prayer together this morning, we can still express our love for this city God has called us to, by praying for it. Please set aside 15 minutes to pray for our community.
Pray for:
- Our council and government to make the best choices for us.
- Our Schools:
- Staff to support the children in the most creative ways possible.
- Students to feel safe and adhere to the distance rules.
- Parents to abide by the rules and support their children through this time.
- Our Medical staff
- Doctors
- Nurses
- Cleaners, etc.
This is a particularly hard situation for all but we have an amazing opportunity to shine God’s light into the world. Pray for where God can use you.
Karol

End of service.
Thanks for your message Richard and the encouragement to remember who to trust when “things go south…”. Also the song O God forgive us was very powerful – esp the part K.B said “we open our arms to our homeless saviour, but cross our arms to our homeless neighbour…”
Thanks Leanne. It is an amazing song. That lyric is outstanding. I love how there is a connection between the parents and their children, a sense that how we respond to others with the love of Christ will affect not only what our children see but how they respond.
