Jesus is alive!

Today we celebrate Jesus’ resurrection from the dead.  In doing so, we remember that God proved His character as faithful, powerful, and willing by raising Jesus from the dead.  God is faithful to His promises in His Word; He is powerful to perform His Word, and it proves that God is willing to perform His Word.  We also remember that the resurrection proves who Jesus is and that He is trustworthy.

And finally, the resurrection proves that the dead are raised, so we have hope for ourselves, an ever-living hope, that we who have placed our trust in Jesus, will be raised from the dead to be with Jesus.

This is the heart of the God’s good news to all people everywhere.  This is the source of faith, hope, love, and salvation.  And we are blessed to hear it and even more so if we believe it.  It is the hope of the world.
