In this message today, Ryan Davis encourages the Church to recognise they are part of God’s Story.  Ryan gives a background to the historical day of the Church’s birth, before sharing how the Holy Spirit and our baptism in it, has an affect in our lives today, so that we might be Jesus’ witnesses in this world.   Just as Peter had authority to preach and declare the word of God then, we to have the authority to be Jesus’s witness in the world.  The Church is the body of Christ, the living expression of Jesus on this earth. and just like the Acts church, there is a role for us on the earth.  Ryan challenges us with the question, “What would my life look like if I was baptised in the Holy Spirit, if the Holy Spirit fell on you afresh.”
