Bible College student, Jane Finlayson expounds John 13:1-17, the account of Jesus washing the feet of His disciples. In doing this act, Jesus set an example for us to focus outward even if things are becoming pressured for us. In washing His disciples feet, Jesus was encouraging His followers to accept they although they were clean because of Him, they need to have the “dirt” of the day washed off by Him too. He also encouraged His disciples to do the same sorts of things themselves. To do both of those things requires a deep and powerful humility.
