While the hope often assciated with advent is the hope fulfilled at our Lord’s birth, it is eqaully a hope in His return, a hope stored up for us in heaven. Working through a number of scriptures (Col. 1:3-6a; Is. 2:1-5; Rom. 13:11-14; Matt. 24:36-44; and Eph. 6:14-17), Richard talks about the “why” of hope, before sharing about the “what” of hope in salvation, judgement and in life.
