Love one another wholeheartedly is of course a paraphrase of Jesus’ new commandment to love one another as He has loved us. This sermon focus’ on the missiological aspect of this command. As the people of God love one another in the same manner as Jesus has loved them, people will know that they are Jesus’ disciples. It is vital that we take this command as seriously as we take the commands to love God and love our neighbour, if we want to impact our world with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
