Glory – Advent Sermon Series Launch
Title: Glory – Advent Sermon Series Launch
Location: Bunyarra
Description: The Glory of God is an important theme in the Old Testament. God’s Glory revealed and demonstrated God’s Presence to his people. Because of Israel’s unfaithfulness, God gave Ezekiel a prophetic picture of his Glory leaving the Temple. However there was a promise of restoration, when God’s Glory would return. Israel waited for hundreds of years in “darkness”, but one night, a few shepherds were watching flocks in the countryside outside Bethlehem and they saw something amazing! Angels announced the return of God’s Glory – not in a pillar of cloud or fire, but in the birth of a baby. The promise was no longer just for Israel, but now all people who came under the rule of this new King would share in the Glory of God for eternity!
