Children’s Ministries

Currently, lots of thinking is going into our Children’s Ministry, as we reflect on God’s Love for Children and how to best encourage them to grow in a relationship with Him.  Some changes have occurred to how we do things and will change as we move forward with God.

Families at Whyalla Baptist Church are invited to be involved in:

  • Crèche: Ages 1 – 4 years: A safe, age appropriate environment where children can learn about God’s Love for them through play.
  • Junior Children’s Church: Kindy – End year 2: A program full of songs, memory verses, Bible stories, prayer and craft to saturate the Children in God’s Love for them.
  • Church 4 Us – Year 3 – 7: A stimulating program where children can deepen and express their faith through Bible studies, prayer, games, videos, drama, puppets and serving the church family in practical ways.

Children’s Ministry Aims

  • For leaders to be grow in their faith journey with God, expressing God’s love and modelling a relationship with Him, to the children
  • For children to feel they are valued and belong to our church family / to the family of God
  • For truthful Biblical teaching to take place, that children can apply to their lives
  • For leaders to receive training, to prompt their motivation for involvement and to prepare them for involvement
  • For children to desire to minister to others in their church family and beyond
