Lead Pastor Steve & Vicki Woods
Steve Woods has been the Lead Pastor of Bunyarra since January 2001. Steve studied at Burleigh College and ministered in churches in Adelaide for a number of years before moving to sunny Whyalla. He has a passion to see the church engage with the wider community in relevant ways that bring healing and hope.
In his spare time, Steve loves to go geocaching, watch movies (anything from Chocolat, to Happy Gilmore, to Lord of the Rings to The Sixth Sense), read books (James Patterson, Tom Clancy and Jeffery Deaver) listen to music (U2, Jazz, Classical and anything that vaguely resembles Rock – and isn’t country) as well as spend time with his family.
He and his wife Vicki have three children: Thomas, Rebekah and Jacob.

Lesley Maxwell has been the Executive Pastor of Bunyarra since October, 2010. Prior to this she spent working in various nursing positions, mostly in Whyalla. She has 4 adult children, 3 of whom are in Whyalla with the eldest in Adelaide. She loves to see people passionate about Jesus, and seeing them live life to the full.
