History
The Baptist Church has been ministering within the City of Whyalla since 1946. Although our official name is Whyalla Baptist Church Inc., we are generally known in Whyalla as Bunyarra Christian Centre.
In 1981 the Bunyarra property was purchased as part of the church’s vision to reach out into the Whyalla community. Here we seek to minister to the needs of people spiritually, physically, socially and emotionally.
This vision is continuing today with the development of our new youth and childrens space – The Upper Room. We also have a partnership with BaptistCare (SA) who deliver employment services from our Centre. Many other community groups and organisations use our Centre on a regular basis.
